This last weekend was Stevens Pass Bike Park soft opening. Which meant the trails were new and only two trails were open. Well that didn't stop close to 900 riders from showing up and giving their support to the newest bike park in the northwest. Saturday we had a fair amount of rainfall on the mountain which led to some seriously muddy backs. You could tell right away who had been on the mountain riding already and who hadn't. Nonetheless everybody seems super stoked to be a part of the event. The bike park has been in the works for 7 years so it was great for people to finally get out and ride the trails. Next year they will be open full time once the snow melts and have lots of new trails already in the works. Thanks again to everyone who made the trip out and ripped it up!

"It was so good this weekend and so much fun we are going to do it again this weekend Oct 8&9. 10-4pm $20bucks. Thanks to everyone who came up this weekend. We had almost 900 riders over the two days. Shows great support for MTB in the PNW. See you this weekend." Joel Martinez, Operations Manager

Big thanks to Paris Gore for the sweet images of the new park too.

One of the most epic days of my life. Not only do we have our own lift-access bike park, but the FIRST one in Washington! I love Seattle! Now the difficult part: what places to ride on the weekends: I-5 Colonnade? Duthie Hill? Local trails? Stevens Pass? Hmmmm... =D

except the colonnade is moon sand and cheese graters and boring. duthie is ehhh, local trails are ehh without driving to bellingham. stevens is the best choice hands down

... not exactly the first. Crystal Mountain had the lifts open at one time. For about 2 years, around 2002 or so. Just saying. It would be cool to see that mountain follow Stevens Pass and build a park too. They could build a lot of terrain in that bowl.

Snoqualmie Pass was open for MTB back in the 90's but didn't make it cuz of the Forrest Service made it to hard to build trail.

This is a sweet place man, the pictures are also off the hook. The pictures of the bikes are really sweet I recently got my bike from http://www.2wheelbikes.com/ and they run really smooth. By the way Are you guys professional photographers? I would like to check out more of your work if you have it.

Been waiting for this for 7 years. Was so stoked when they finally opened. Was quite the slop fest on opening day but didn't care as I had just riden up the hill on a chairlift with my bike in Washington.

 900? Wow!
So how much elevation does that place have? Only asking because I know nothing of it. Internet dweebs should not hate on me. I do not want to google it. Smile

900 is anything to really base your marketing off of. Most parks have that much elevation. The thing that matters though... it put a huge freaking smile on your face!

great question.. I would say 800+ Feet. hard to say though. Joel the park manager was telling me before they opened that he expected 250 the first day. seeing they almost doubled that in one day was really great to see!

Evil Revolt w/ internal cable routing. I did nothing to the front of the headtube on the frame. All Revolts have a cutout there...

Congrats Stevens Pass. Great to see the industry expanding. Hope the wet opening didn't destroy your trails.
